Born in the Bay Area, Hanson has spent her life beating a path up to the Pacific Northwest and back again. Surviving childhood thanks to a pen, a blank book, and a pair of headphones, she enjoyed many years working in the Bay Area coffee industry, overlapping a brief and wondrous career in graphic design. Drawn into the world of freelance—and following the beacon of her Virgo midheaven—she chose a career in doing money math and business administration for artists and small businesses. Having settled in Oakland, California, she stays busy raising her pink-haired daughter on their indoor cat farm.
